CORE PSYCHOLOGY CORE refers to four overlapping, non-linear sets of practices or strategies that I believe are essential (or core) to well-being, healing, and growth. These strategies are reflected in all my clinical and consulting work. Specifically, CORE stands for strategies and practices in: Centering, Opening, Releasing, and Extending. |
Dr. Harry Stefanakis
Dr. Harry Stefanakis holds a doctorate degree in psychology and is registered with College of Psychologists of BC (#1489). He is an experienced counselor and educator who communicates effectively with both humour and clarity.
Harry sees people from a wholistic perspective and attends to the integration of individuals’ emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and social dimensions of life. In addition to his private practice, Harry has worked within social services, correctional, educational and occupational rehabilitation settings.
He has presented at numerous national and international conferences as well as providing training, workshops and consultation across North America, in Europe and Asia.
He has published books on psychology, poetry, and fiction. Through his professional and creative work, he aims to document the human experience while also using words to mend life's fractures and inspire life-affirming possibilities. Addionally, he has been featured in video training in clinical hypnosis and ending violence and abuse campaigns.
